Beautiful Grounds
The house is fronted by sunny secluded gardens designed as a series of 'rooms', where there is room to play croquet, boules and badminton (games equipment is provided). There is ample garden furniture for al fresco meals and barbecue. There is ample parking.

We have a rose garden designed as a walk through the history of roses, and the herb garden will provide fresh herbs for the kitchen or bath.
The orchard contains old varieties of apple, pear and plum. This is the home ground of ‘the ladies’ – rare breed hens who are good recyclers of left-overs, and three of whom lay naturally blue eggs.

Our 110 acre farm has some lovely walks, either on farm lanes or around the fields. From the top fields there are views of the village over the Vale of York to the Pennines and the Hambleton Hills, including the famous White Horse of Kilburn.
The wide range of habitats within the farm - woodland, stream, hedgerows and fields of low input arable crops encourage lots of wildlife.
Multi-use Games Area
There is a multi-use games area (tennis court/football/basketball) and children's play park in the village which is situated very conveniently at the end of the lane, 200 yards away. Access is free to all guests of Baxby Manor.
The village is only a couple of fields away and has a shop and a pub with good food and beer.
This is wonderful country for cycling and riding - bring your own mounts or hire them locally. We can provide storage or stabling.
Im afraid we do not accept pets-sorry.
